Alissa Roach
(b. Kingston, Jamaica) is an interdisciplinary artist and writer based in London. She works across video, performance, installation, painting, and spoken word to encapsulate the inconsistencies that exist within memory. Her work often explores colonization and diasporic histories as they relate to the present moment. Using a variety of nontraditional materials and processes, her experimental practice favors impermanence, and that which is meant to be shared.
